Dealerloop vs Conversica: which fits your dealership?

Conversica has been doing AI sales assistants for a long time. It is available here through Auto Digital Solutions, which states it has been associated with Conversica in Australia since 2010, and it runs conversations across email, SMS, chat and messaging apps, in any language, across five industries. Automotive is one of them. Dealerloop does one industry, in one country, and carries the job past the enquiry. Here is where each fits.

Choose Conversica if

you want a proven, long-running AI assistant that works the whole funnel, not just new sales enquiries. Its automotive pages cover converting sales leads to appointments, service lane follow-up and qualifying finance needs early, and it names DealerSocket, CDK and VinSolutions among its integrations. It runs in multiple languages. It reports powering 1.5 billion conversations for more than 2,000 teams, and millions of conversations for more than 1,000 dealer teams. If you run businesses outside automotive as well, one vendor across all of them is a genuine argument.

Choose Dealerloop if

you sell cars in Australia and want the enquiry answered from your live stock, the test drive booked into your calendar with a named-salesperson handoff, and the delivery handover run in the same system: Australian-hosted data, published pricing, month-to-month.

Where a row says something is not documented or not described on the pages we fetched, that is the limit of what we could verify in Conversica's published material on 4 August 2026. It is not a statement that the capability does not exist. If we have it wrong, tell us and we will correct the page.

The verdict

Where to draw the line

Conversica's strength is breadth of conversation. It will chase a service customer, a renewal and a finance opportunity as readily as a new-car enquiry, in whatever language your customer writes in, and it has been doing it for a long time. If your problem is that nobody follows up anything, across departments, that breadth is exactly what you want.

Dealerloop's strength is depth in one lane, in one market: the carsales enquiry at 8:40pm answered from the car that is actually on your yard, the Saturday test drive in a named salesperson's diary with the whole conversation attached, the delivery paperwork and WA licensing forms done in week eight. The commercial difference is just as plain. Conversica's published terms set the term in the order form, auto-renew it, and want 60 days written notice before the end of it, under Californian law. Dealerloop is month-to-month under Australian law, with your data exportable whenever you like.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Is Conversica behind on AI?

No. It runs conversations across email, SMS, chat and messaging apps in any language, and it publishes conversation volumes most vendors in this category do not: it reports 1.5 billion conversations for more than 2,000 teams, and millions of conversations for more than 1,000 dealer teams. The comparison is scope and jurisdiction, not capability.

Can we run both?

Yes. Nothing about Dealerloop asks you to remove another tool. Some dealerships would sensibly keep an assistant working service and retention while Dealerloop works the sales enquiry and the handover. Watch for double-messaging: agree which system owns which lead source before you switch on.

What does Conversica cost?

They do not publish it, so we will not put a number on their behalf. Monthly figures circulate in third-party directories; we could not verify any of them against Conversica’s own material, so treat them as hearsay and ask for a written quote. Dealerloop’s price is on our pricing page: $99 per rooftop per month per engine, ex GST, plus $20 per honoured appointment, dropping with volume. You can read it before you book anything.
