Dealerloop vs Voxworks: which fits your dealership?

Voxworks is an Australian AI voice company. It answers the phone. Dealerloop works over SMS and email and does not answer the phone at all. That single sentence decides most of this comparison, and for a lot of dealerships the honest answer is that these two solve different leaks in the same yard.

Choose Voxworks if

your leak is the telephone. It answers inbound calls, makes outbound calls, books service appointments with numberplate capture, handles parts enquiries, calls back internet leads, and warm-transfers to a person with a summary of the conversation. Dealerloop does none of that: our channels are SMS and email, full stop. Voxworks is also Australian owned, publishes its prices in Australian dollars on its website, starts at A$49 a month, and offers a 14-day free trial. If you want to test an AI on your phones this month for the price of a tank of fuel, that is a fair offer and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Choose Dealerloop if

the leak is written enquiries becoming sales: the carsales enquiry answered from your live stock at 9pm, qualified, booked into a named salesperson’s diary, followed up for months if it goes cold, and carried through the delivery handover after the sale. That is one job, done end to end, for Australian dealerships only.

Where a row says something is not named or not documented on the pages we fetched, that is the limit of what we could verify in Voxworks’ published material on 4 August 2026. It is not a statement that the capability does not exist. If we have it wrong, tell us and we will correct the page.

The verdict

Where to draw the line

Two vendors that publish their prices should be easy to compare, and they nearly are. The difference is what you are buying units of.

Voxworks sells minutes. If your phones ring out at lunchtime and after five, and you are losing service bookings and parts calls to a voicemail box, minutes are the right unit and Voxworks is a sensible, cheap experiment. Its own dealership page sets the comparison against a traditional business development centre and an offshore call centre, and on the figures it publishes there it wins that argument comfortably.

Dealerloop sells honoured appointments. You pay a platform fee per rooftop per engine, then only when a customer the AI booked actually walks in. No-shows are never billed, reschedules are free, and appointments your own team books are never billed. That only makes sense if the thing you want is bums on seats from written enquiries, which is precisely the job it was built for.

If both leaks are open, the two are not in conflict. Voice on the phone, Dealerloop on the written enquiry and the handover.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Will Dealerloop ever answer the phone?

We do not, today. Channels are SMS and email. We would rather say that plainly than sell you a maybe.

Is an A$49 plan really enough for a dealership?

Sixty minutes a month is roughly twenty short calls, so no, not for a working yard. Voxworks’ own dealership page puts a typical dealership deployment at from $300 a month, which is the number to plan against. We flag this because comparing our platform fee to their entry plan would be a cheap trick, and it is not how either product gets bought.

They say Australian data sovereignty. You say it is unverified. Which is it?

Their homepage lists it as a feature. Their published privacy policy says personal information may be held by third-party data storage providers, without naming a country. That is not a criticism of them, it is a gap in published detail, and the fix is the same for any vendor including us: ask for the hosting jurisdiction in writing before you sign. We will give you ours in writing too.
